From East to West

We decided that this is going to be Tyler's last summer ever, so we made a big trip out to Utah. We made a straight flight all the way to Vegas, and with both girls... It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be! They both traveled better than I did. We made it to Cedar City about 4:30 a.m. our time and we spent several hours the next day just sleeping! The first night we were there we planted the garden in my in-laws yard. I forgot how fun it is to do! I can't wait to have my own!!!

The next several days were spent just hanging out and checking out new things around town. Lyndi got reacquainted with her "home" town and her grandparents house and yard. She spent almost every day jumping on the trampoline with Emerie on occasion.

Grandpa Page also played "crack the egg" with her... Haha!

Lyndi was kept busy all day long most days and so when it came time for bed, she was too tuckered out to finish her bedtime routine, and one night she fell asleep while Grandma Page told her a bedtime story!

What I was most excited for while we were there was to see my friends that I've missed SSOOO much! We were finally able to get together and meet all the new babies and take turns holding each others kids and catching up. It was the best day ever!! I also got the finally meet this little lady Kloe!

Lyndi also got reacquainted with Sosa, our friends dog. He's the nicest dog ever, but she was pretty scared of him at first until she started playing frisbee with him! We used to spend a lot of time at their house when we lived in Cedar and it was fun to be back there!! They built a new house that has a yellow tube slide going from the upstairs play room to the main floor!! We ended up being able to go down to St. George and go to Pioneer Park with the girls. They both had a blast climbing on everything outdoors. It's been about 15 years since I'd been there and it was fun to see!!

We were able to go on a hike while we were there... Not a rigorous hike like we wanted to, but due to Tyler's expert picture taking skills, you can see a clear shot of the canyon!! Haha... Also on the hike we were almost attacked by giant crows and psycho silk worms!! Crazy outdoors!!!

Lyndi had 3 requests for our trip to Utah. She wanted to go swimming, jump on the trampoline, and make s'mores on the fire in their backyard. We were able to accomplish all 3 things :) I got pictures of swimming but they were on Tyler's phone... Lyndi got to go to a friends' birthday party while we were there. So much fun!!! It was a princess theme, so all the girl's got to dress up in a princess costume (Lyndi's was Cinderella) and it was held at a nail salon, so they got to go and get their hair done and get their nails painted!! Although this sounded like the PERFECT party for Lyndi, all the other girls got a GIRL to do their hair, and she ended up with the only BOY and she was not having it. After about 20 minutes of her sulking and not wanting the boy to do her hair, we finally got a girl to do it and the party was a success after that! She ended up winning a dollar as well during the games, which she later spent on 2 candy bars :)

We went up to Salt Lake the last several days we were there and saw Tyler's siblings and all Lyndi's cousins!! She was SOO excited to see them! There are 3 cousins that were born within a month of each other so Lyndi will always have someone to play with :) I didn't get any pictures because I left my phone at my sister-in-laws house that weekend so those pictures from Salt Lake are also on Tyler's phone!! At the very end of our trip we got to see my sister and her family. Her baby Kaiya and Emerie are 7 weeks apart, and it was fun to get them together again!! The picture above is of her and her "excited" face, which she quite literally makes EVERY time she's excited about something haha!! We flew back home through the night and thankfully the girls slept when we got home and we were ALL able to get some much needed rest that day.
